This video has been uploaded by request and is being used as the basis for an experiment. We were having a discussion about the usefulness of social media to creative careers. More particularly, would fellow arts practitioners see a piece like this, think: "Cool - he's such an awesome libertine and I wanna work with him!" and get in touch? So the challenge we have made up at this end is as follows…
I'm an actor / performer. I'm in the UK but happy to travel throughout Europe to take on creative projects and acting roles.
We want to see how long it takes arts practitioners to see this, message me and say: "There's this project we're doing and we'd like to invite you to do xyz…"
I don't mind if it's a small scale performance art project, a naked walk-on role for 'Game of Thrones' or an indie flick… but we want to see the usefulness of putting up a work like this.
The challenge is that I have to keep this video up until an arts practitioner directly offers me a gig to do something creative and worthwhile through my having this video online which I have to complete...
…or until at least 100,000 people have seen this. Which could take forever…
…or until this video goes any two consecutive days without receiving a 'like'.
The theory is that creative people tend to be shy about reaching out to other artists else procrastinate endlessly rather than getting on and doing things…
So, interested creative types - *please* message me and offer me a cool creative art project or credible acting role to do. Someone out there must need a libertine willing to do these kind of performances! :)
