Phosphorus is the ancient Greek word that signifies "he who bears light". Lucifer, in Latin. It was also, once, the name by which the planet Venus was known. Furthermore, it is one of the chemical elements necessary to the existence of life.
PHOSPΗORUS is a photographic album, a collection of male nudes that are sometimes incorporated in a natural environment, sometimes in an urban setting and at other times appear to inhabit an unexplored interim of invented space.
They circulate, stand, pose, give in to abandon. Impudent within a nudity that seems self understood, they forcefully trigger not only the viewer's retina but also his or her dormant psychic fissures, as each in turn annihilate the stereotypes of manhood.
Self-sufficient, they give in to nonchalance, to narcissism, to melancholy, to neurosis, to guiltless bliss.
The men of planet PHOSPHORUS appear to despise time and its constraints. Above all, they are there to be looked at.

Repensar o papel de modelos vivos no ambiente acadêmico das escolas de arte e a distância estabelecida entre o desenhista e o modelo é a proposta inicial de Fyodor Pavlov-Andreevich, artista russo que encena a performance inédita Um retrato com o artista e o vazio em que convida o público a desenhá-lo enquanto posa como modelo vivo nu por mais de cinco horas, durante a tarde do dia 9 de abril (sábado), no espaço expositivo de Educação como matéria-prima, mostra do MAM que discute processos pedagógicos na arte.“Apesar da nudez remeter, muitas vezes, à sexualidade e à erotização, os modelos vivos em escolas de arte, que posam durante horas e recebem baixa remuneração por isso, trazem um aspecto que beira à monotonia. No Brasil, praias naturistas ou locais onde se pode permanecer sem roupa são escassos, e é comum a associação desses à práticas de orgia. O tabu sobre a nudez faz com que ela seja cada vez mais compreendida como um conteúdo não apropriado, não existindo, assim, a possibilidade do corpo público, ” reflete o artista.
